When you move your WordPress site to a new domain, Chamevo needs its license reactivated on the new URL. This guide covers the steps to keep Chamevo working after a domain change.
Before you start
- Complete your WordPress migration (database, files, URL updates) before updating Chamevo.
- Have access to your Chamevo account at chamevo.com.
- Your new domain is live and WordPress is accessible on it.
Step 1: Deactivate the license on the old domain
If you still have access to the old domain:
- Go to Chamevo β Dashboard on the old domain.
- Click Deactivate License.
If you no longer have access to the old domain, skip this step β you can manage active domains from your Chamevo account.
Step 2: Update active domains in your Chamevo account
- Log in to your account at chamevo.com.
- Go to your subscription settings.
- Remove the old domain from your active installations.
- This frees up the license slot for the new domain.
Step 3: Activate the license on the new domain
- On the new domain, go to Chamevo β Dashboard.
- Enter your license key.
- Click Activate.
- Verify the dashboard shows your plan details and the license status is active.
Step 4: Verify your setup
After activating the license on the new domain:
- Go to Chamevo β Products and verify your products are listed.
- Open the Product Builder and verify products load correctly.
- Open a product on the frontend and verify the customizer loads.
- Place a test order and verify the print-ready file is generated.
Update connected services
If you use integrations that reference your domain:
- Printful: No domain-specific configuration β the API token works across domains.
- Dropbox: The redirect URI may need updating in your Dropbox app settings if it references the old domain.
- Webhooks: Update the webhook URL in any external service (Zapier, Make) that sends data to your old domain.
- Facebook/Instagram Photos: Update the OAuth redirect URIs in your app settings to the new domain.
