Create pricing rules for image size and coverage
Set up pricing rules that charge customers based on uploaded image dimensions, scaled image size, or how much of the print area is covered.
Chamevo includes three image and area-related pricing properties. Use these to charge based on the size of uploaded images, the size after the customer scales them, or how much of the print area is covered by design elements.
Before you start
- You need access to Chamevo β Pricing Rules in your WordPress admin.
- Your product must use a Print Profile. Pricing rules are assigned through Print Profiles.
- Dynamic Pricing requires a Growth plan or above.
Image pricing properties
| Property | What it measures | Value format |
|---|---|---|
| Image Size | Original pixel dimensions of the uploaded image | Width and height in pixels |
| Image Size (Scaled) | Displayed dimensions after the customer resizes the image | Width Γ scale and height Γ scale |
| Print Area Coverage | Percentage of the print area covered by all design elements | 0 to 100 |
Image Size vs. Image Size (Scaled)
- Image Size is the original file dimensions. A 2000 Γ 1500 pixel image always has an Image Size of 2000 Γ 1500, regardless of how the customer scales it on the canvas.
- Image Size (Scaled) reflects the displayed size. If the customer scales that same image to 50%, the scaled size becomes 1000 Γ 750.
Use Image Size when pricing depends on the file the customer uploads (e.g., large-format printing). Use Image Size (Scaled) when pricing depends on how large the image appears in the final design.

This example charges more for high-resolution uploads that require more processing.
