Usage tracking and data collection
Understand what analytics data Chamevo collects and how to enable or disable usage tracking.
Chamevo includes an optional usage tracking feature that collects anonymized interaction data to help improve the product. This data helps the development team understand how features are used and prioritize improvements.
What is tracked
When usage tracking is enabled, Chamevo collects anonymized interaction data such as:
- Which features and modules are used most frequently.
- General interaction patterns (e.g., how often customers use background removal, text editing, or 3D preview).
- Error events that help identify bugs.
Usage tracking does not collect:
- Personal customer information (names, emails, addresses).
- Design content or uploaded images.
- Order details or payment information.
- Your store's URL or product data.
Enable or disable usage tracking
- Go to Chamevo β Settings β Advanced β Miscellaneous.
- Find Analytics Tracking.
- Check the box to enable tracking, or uncheck it to disable.
- Save your settings.
When disabled, no analytics data is sent from your site.
Why enable tracking
Enabling tracking helps the Chamevo team:
- Identify which features merchants and customers use most.
- Detect and fix errors faster.
- Make informed decisions about feature development priorities.
The tracking is lightweight and does not affect your site's performance or your customers' experience.
