Manage graphic categories in print profiles
Control which graphic categories appear in the Designs module per product, view, or print area using print profiles.
By default, all graphic categories appear in the Designs module of the product customizer. Use the Graphic Categories setting in a print profile to show only relevant categories for each product. Business card products see corporate logos; t-shirt products see apparel graphics.
Before you start
- You have graphic categories created in Chamevo > Graphics. See Browse and organize your graphics library.
- You have at least one print profile. See Set up print profiles for your production workflow.
How it works
The Graphic Categories setting is in the General tab of every print profile. It accepts one or more categories. When categories are selected, only those categories appear in the Designs module. When the field is empty, all categories are shown.
The setting follows the print profile hierarchy:
- Master Print Profile β sets the default categories for all products.
- Product-level profile β overrides the Master for that product.
- View-level profile β overrides the product-level profile for that view.
- Print area profile β overrides the view-level profile for that print area.
A more specific level always wins.
Steps
Restrict categories in a profile
- Go to Chamevo > Print Profiles.
- Edit the profile you want to configure.
- Open the General tab.
- Find Graphic Categories (labeled "Select which graphic categories should appear in the Designs module").
