Setting up layouts

The Layout module lets your customers pick from a set of predefined layouts for a product’s views. This makes it easy to offer different design arrangements without requiring them to build everything from scratch.




Enabling Layouts for a Product


The Layouts module allows you to offer customers multiple predefined design layouts for a product. Here’s how to set it up:


Step 1 – Enable the Layouts Module


  1. Navigate to your Wordpress Dashboard > UI Composer
  2. Click on Modules
  3. Drag it from Available Modules into Your Selected Modules.
  4. Save Your Interface



Step 2 – Create Your Default Product


Build the main Product your customers will see when they first open the designer, we covered that in different article.


Step 3 – Create a Layout


  1. Go to the Products tab in the Wordpress Dashboard.
  2. On the right-hand side, click the Layout tab.
  3. Create new Layout
  4. Enter a Layout Title to name your layout.
  5. Add the views you want to include in this layout.
  6. Each view in this product will represent one layout option.






Step 4 – Connect the Layout Source


  1. Go to the **Print Profiles **tab in the Admin panel
  2. Edit or Add Print Profile





  1. Go to the General Settings of your product.
  2. Find the Layouts option and override it.
  3. From the dropdown, select the layout you created earlier (Step 3).
  4. Click Save Changes to apply the layout.






Done! Your customers can now switch between different layouts when customizing their product.
