Setting Print Areas for Export

With Print Areas, you can:

  • Add multiple print areas per view (e.g., multiple zones on the same T-shirt).
  • Easily switch and zoom between areas for detailed editing.
  • Apply custom shapes using SVG masks for unique print regions.
  • Ensure professional print preparation with bleed, crop marks, and precise alignment.
  • Keep layouts clean and accurate with automatic element clipping.

In this guide, we’ll set up a customizable T-shirt with two print areas on the front and one on the back to showcase these features.

Example: Creating a T-Shirt with 2 Print Areas (Logo And Body)

Step 1. Open Print Areas Menu

  1. In the Admin Dashboard, click on Products from the left-hand menu.
  2. Click on the Layers icon for the T-shirt product.
  3. Select Edit in Product Builder.

Step 2. Open the Print Areas Menu and Add Print Areas

  1. On the right-hand side, click the Print Areas button to open the print area menu.
  2. Name your Print Area.
  3. On the front of the T-shirt, create two print areas by naming the Print Areas, Choosing Size and Bleed.
  4. You can adjust Mask of the Print Area in after creating it.

For our Example we will create Chest Logo Area and Body of the Shirt

  • Chest logo area (small circle on the upper left side 100x100).
  • Full front Body area (covering most of the shirt front 500x300).

Select Print Area from right hand side and move it on Picture preview to position it.

Step 3. Switch Between Print Areas

  • Each print area has a checkmark icon in the top-right corner.
  • Select the chest logo area, then switch to the full front design area.

Step 4. Apply an SVG Mask (Optional)

  • For the chest logo area, apply a circular SVG mask.
  • The mask ensures the logo prints only within the circular region.

Step 5. Prepare for Printing

Each print area includes automatic:

  • Bleed zones around the edges.
  • Crop marks for accurate cutting.
  • Coordinate alignment so placement on screen matches the final print.

Step 6. Constrain Design Elements

  • Elements are clipped to their respective print areas:
  • The logo stays within the chest circle.
  • The artwork stays in the full front area.
  • This prevents overlapping and keeps the layout clean.

Step 7. Publishing & Preview

Once everything is configured:

  1. Click Save View to save your T-shirt product and Print Areas we designed.
  2. Connect your Product to WooCommerce store or via **Blank Page on Wordpress **(Both Covered in Previous articles you can find here and here.)
  3. Preview the T-shirt to see how the front logo and artwork appear to your customers.
  4. Uploading a Design to a Print Area
  • Click the Checkmark icon on the Print Area you want to use.
  • Upload your chosen picture.
  • The picture will appear inside the Print Area. It won’t automatically fit, but you can resize, move, and adjust it using the available options until it matches your layout.

You’ve now set up a T-shirt with 2 front print areas (chest logo + full front design) and previewed it on the storefront using the new print area features.
