Linking a Product Template with a Catalog Product

To speed up product setup, you can create templates that act as reusable bases for multiple catalog products.

Why Use Templates?

  • Save Time: Make changes once in the template and they apply to all linked products.
  • Keep products consistent: Use shared layers (like logos, shapes, or backgrounds) across many products.

Create a template

  • Go to the Product Section.
  • Either create a new product or turn an existing catalog product into a template (covered in another section).

Name the template

  1. Navigate to your WordPress Admin Dashboard → Products
  2. Open the product’s action menu (three vertical dots).
  3. Click on Save As Template
  4. Name your **Template **

A new product with that template name will appear in the product section.

  1. Click Settings (on the right-hand side) of the product you wish to link with template we just created.
  2. Choose the template from the list.
  3. Save Changes,

Edit with template layers

  1. Navigate to Templates **In **Products.
  2. Click On Layers Icon to open views.
  3. Select Edit View in Product Builder **to open **Edit Menu.
  4. You have have confirmation message that View is linked to Template.
  5. Edit Layers **and other options for your **Template **that will be used for all **linked products.
  6. **Save View! **

You can still customize each product individually. Linking just gives you a shared foundation.
