Understanding the Pricing Hierarchy
Prices are applied based on this hierarchy:
1. Individual Graphic Price (Most Specific)
- If you set a price for a specific graphic, that price is used
2. Category Graphic Price
- If no individual price is set, the category price is used
3. Upload Price (Fallback)
- If graphics have NO price set (price = 0), uploaded images use the Upload price
- If graphics have a price set, that price overrides the Upload price
Best Practices
Set Zero to Make Free:
- Set price to 0 to make an element free
- Leave price empty to inherit from parent (category or upload price)
Be Consistent:
- Use similar pricing for similar elements
- Clearly communicate pricing to customers
Test Your Pricing:
- Add elements to a test product to verify prices are applied correctly
- Check that the product total updates as expected
Troubleshooting
Price not appearing?
- Ensure you clicked Override before setting the price
- Make sure you clicked Save Changes
- Check that Enable Options is toggled ON for graphics
Wrong price showing?
- Check the hierarchy: individual graphic > category > upload
- Verify which price is actually set (0, empty, or a value)
Graphics showing upload price?
- Graphics with no price set (empty or 0) will use upload price if configured
