Graphic Categories in Print Profiles

Design Categories allow you to organize and control which designs appear for customers during product customization. This keeps the design selection relevant and tailored to each product type.

Why It Matters

Without categories, customers might see every available design, even if it doesn’t apply to their product. Categories make the design process cleaner, faster, and more intuitive.

Key Benefits

  • Organized Experience: Customers only see designs relevant to the product.
  • Flexibility: Assign different categories for different products, views, or print areas.
  • Overrides: More specific assignments take priority over general ones.

Where to Assign Categories

Design categories follow a hierarchical order:

  1. Master Print Profile → Default across all products.
  2. Product Settings → Overrides master profile for that product.
  3. Print Settings of a View → Overrides product-level profile for that view.
  4. Single Print Area → Overrides all above for that area only.

Example: Assign “Shirt Designs” at the product level so all views and areas use it. Override with “Special Edition” at a single print area if needed.

How to Configure

  1. Go to your WordPress Dashboard **Navigate to: Chamevo → Print Profiles → Edit Profile**
  2. Open the General Section of the profile.
  3. Select the Design Categories you want to assign.
  4. Save your profile.

Example Use Case

  • Business Card → Show only “Corporate Designs” category.
  • Poster → Show “Full Designs” with effects and artwork.
  • T-Shirt → Show “Shirt Designs” category.

Best Practices

  • Keep categories specific to product types.
  • Use overrides for special editions or limited designs.
  • Review categories regularly to keep customer options relevant.

Customers see only the designs you assign, ensuring a clean, product-specific customization process.
